Sustainability | Sustainable Products and Packaging, Green Materials and Technology
The topic of green materials and product packaging has received so much attention and advocacy this year that it cannot be ignored by consumers and the market. For example,
1. ASUS uses discarded fishing nets and PCR plastic as material resources for laptop keyboards and speakers.
2. Molded pulp packaging shines in the world of tech products.

The hexagonal column design of the ROG Game phone packaging has become a signature feature of the series. The seventh-generation new model not only continues this but also takes inspiration from meteorites for the packaging design, boldly choosing eco-friendly packaging material—molded pulp. The characteristic of molded pulp material is that the raw material has a unique texture from pulp, creating a majestic collectible-grade outer box for the gaming phone and accessories.
When unboxing, first unfold the hardcover cardboard covering beneath the clamshell outer box. The two are fixed with magnets, which is quite intuitive. More interestingly, to familiarize players with the phone’s buttons, the official team has built in an exclusive mini-game, and the mechanism to start the game is hidden in the packaging!
The NFC chip embedded in the hardboard can connect to the phone, and three buttons are also embedded inside. After connecting, follow the instructions to complete the custom mini-game—truly sparing no expense.
After unboxing, the interior is divided into two layers. The first layer is a molded pulp inner tray holding the phone itself. The phone is placed in the center of the cardboard divider. A closer look reveals that the patterns on the left and right sides are composed of ROG and 07. When the buyer stores the packaging, they can place the played hardboard back in its original position. The magnets inside the board can attract the upper and lower covers of the outer box to close it.
With proper design, molded pulp packaging not only creates a unique packaging effect but can also be lighter than multi-layer laminated cardboard boxes, making it a very promising eco-friendly material.
